Why MAUZO Was Built

After working with and testing many POS systems available in Tanzania, Charles noticed a common problem: none of them truly fit how Tanzanian businesses actually operate. Each system had features that didn't make sense for our market, or was missing critical features that local businesses needed.

The Problems We Saw:

  • Too complicated for small business owners to use
  • Missing features like credit sales management
  • No support for Tanzanian business practices
  • Expensive subscription models that small businesses couldn't afford
  • No local language support (Swahili)
  • Poor offline functionality in areas with unreliable internet

MAUZO was built from the ground up to solve these problems. Every feature was designed with real Tanzanian businesses in mind - from the way we handle credit sales to how we manage inventory in different units of measurement that locals actually use.
